When Ian finished the task with flying colors Dana wondered how Isabella and Kimmie were going to take the task. Ian had received three 8s and one 9. That was a good score! Next Isabella stepped into the rink and Dana let out a loud cheer for her. Isabella took out her wand as a Demiguise was let out of a metal crate. As soon as it saw Isabella it disappeared. She tapped her own head with her wand and closed her eyes. As if she was shaken awake or scared her eyes popped open and Isabella muttered some spell and the Demiguise appeared and was obviously knocked out. Isabella walked over to it and pulled off one silver hair. The crowd cheered, Dana and Juliette the loudest. The clock on the west side of the rink showed that it had only taken her three minutes to retrieve the hair. It had taken Ian five. Dana switched her gaze to the judges. Professor Maxime shot up a 10. Dana wasn’t surprised since Isabella was a Beauxbatons student. The Drumstang proffesor, who Dana did not know, gave Isabella a nine. Hermione, who was looking very pleased at her niece, gave out a 10. The guy from the Ministry of Magic gave Isabella an encouraging look, along with a third 10! Isabella looked radiant and pumped her fist into the air and screamed a “yes!”. Dana smiled as along with others as Isabella returned to the Champions tent and Kimmie came out. The process was the same, she came out, the dudes let the Demiguise out, and she started to trick it. After six minutes Kimmie had plucked out a sliver hair and she had received a nine, two eights, and a seven. At the seven, given by Madame Maxime Jake stood up.
“What do you mean a seven? She did great!” Jake yelled. Ali pulled the sleeve of Jake’s robe, forcing him back into his seat.
“Jake take a chill pill. It’s just a score. It’ll be okay,” his sister said and Jake rolled his eyes.
“This first task has left Isabella Weasley in first with thirty-nine points. In second place is Ian Ianevski with thirty-three points, and in third place in Kimmie Shaner with thirty-two points. Now you have been given your clue to figure out what the second task is so please take time to figure it out because it will help you greatly,” Professor McGonagall said. Everyone was dismissed and Dana ran to congratulate Isabella as Jake and Ali tagged along to talk to Kimmie. When she reached the Champions Tent she ran inside and hugged Isabella tightly.
“You were awesome!” Dana squealed and Isabella giggled.
“Thanks. It was harder then expected,” Isabella replied.
“You made it look so easy!” Dana said hugging her cousin again as Juliette ran into the tent and threw herself into Isabella’s arms.
“You were awesome sis!” Juliette said and Isabella and Juliette started talking in French. Dana felt left out and cleared her throat. Isabella and Juliette looked at her and giggled.
“We forgot you don’t speak French Dana. Sorry,” Isabella apologized.
“It’s okay,” Dana replied. Dana glanced over to see Jake and Ali talking to Kimmie. A bright light filled the tent as a boy, maybe sixteen walked in and over to Isabella. He was tall, had black hair and Dana noticed was pretty good looking. He flung his arms around her and kissed her. Dana raised an eyebrow and looked at Juliette hoping for an explanation.
“Her boyfriend,” Juliette explained and Dana nodded. When Isabella and the guy broke apart she turned to Dana.
“Dana this is my boyfriend Pierre,” Isabella explained and she turned to Pierre and said something in French. He nodded, kissed her quickly, and left the tent. When Pierre was gone Dana turned to Isabella again.
“So what’s the clue?” Dana asked and Isabella pulled a small piece of paper from her pocket as she and Juliette crowded around to read the clue.
