Chapter 11: Hannah Lily Potter


James had been silent for what seemed like an eternity; this made Lily nervous, she expected him to have some sort of reaction. "James, darling, are you alright?" she asked.

"Yes..............I think...........no.........I'm.........I'm going to be a........."

"Yes, James, you are going to be a father again," Lily replied.

"Oh my god!" James replied. "Is it a boy or a girl?"

"A little girl," Lily said. "Harry is going to have a sister!"

James smiled and wrapped his arms around Lily. "So, what are we going to name her?"

(This next part is in late November)

Violet, Sirius, and Hallie were out side playing in the snow. Sirius looked over at his girls; Violet was trying to teach Hallie how to make a snow angle. Sirius had never seen anything so beautiful.

"Violet, do you want to get married?" Sirius asked.

"Well, that depends; are you proposing?" Vi answered, tickling Hallie.

"Sort of........ well, I mean.............I love you...........and we have a Hallie. Do you think we should be married?"

"I love you too, Sirius," Vi said. "But we don't need to get married to prove it..................and honestly, I'm not sure if I'm ready for a life long commitment."

"All right then.........." Sirius said, sounding a little disappointed.

"And Sirius, you don't just ask a girl to marry you, out of the blue. It should be planned and romantic........keep that in mind," she said with a wink.

Sirius smiled at her knowingly.

"Can you get Hallie dressed?" Vi asked as they walked back into the house. "We are supposed to be at James and Lily's in 5 minutes."

Harry was shrieking, because he had just tripped and fallen, and Lily was trying to calm him down, so James answered the door. The moment Harry saw Sirius, he stopped crying; Sirius went over, and picked Harry up, and Harry began to giggle.

"OHHHHH! Look! Padfoot is so good with babies! Who would have ever thought that he was such a softy?"

"Oh, shut it Prongs!" Sirius replied, and Harry gurgled.

Just then, Remus and Camey entered the room, looking glum.

“Has someone died?” James asked.

“That’s not funny!” Lily reprimanded.

"We just lost our jobs at the ministry!" Remus exclaimed. "We were absent too much, and we obviously couldn't explain that we were on a mission from the order...........so they let us go."

"Yeah........... the same thing happened to Sirius and me," Vi said.

"This is great!" James said, "We are now all unemployed!"

"Well, James it may be great for you, but not all of us have a family fortune to spend," Camey said impatiently.

"Oh My Gosh!" Lily exclaimed, "I have the most brilliant idea!"

Sirius and James rolled their eyes, but luckily Lily didn't see them.

"Why don't all of you move in with us?" she asked.

"What!?!" Sirius asked.

"Lily! You must be joking!" Remus said.

"No! I'm serious."

"Actually I'm Sirius!" Sirius stated pointing at himself.

"Shut up, Padfoot!" James sighed. "I agree with Lily," he said. "We have plenty of rooms, and supplies to support us all. And say if Sirius and Vi are on a mission, it won't be difficult to watch Hallie."

"And god knows I'll need help with Harry and Hannah," Lily said.

"Who's Hannah?" Camey asked. Lily clapped her hands over her mouth.

"Well, I was going to surprise you guys............. but, I'm pregnant!"

Violet and Camey screamed, while Remus and Sirius smirked.

"God James!" Sirius said, “You can't keep your hands to yourself for a minute, can you?"

"Sirius Black! What and insensitive thing to say!" Vi said as she slapped him on the arm.

They all just laughed. It took some persuading, but finally they all agreed to move into the Potter Mansion.
