All right, I'm posting again because that one seemed very short.

Chapter 9: Hallie Marie Black

James and Lily apparated, with Harry, to the St. Mungo’s, where they were met by Remus and Camey.

Remus ran up them and asked, "How did you guys know that we were here?"

"Dumbledore told us," Lily replied.

"But how did he know?" Camey asked.

"Duh!!!! It's Dumbledore!" James replied.

"You're right, stupid question......" her voice trailed off.

Violet handled things very different than Lily had. Pain was evident on her face, yet she did not scream. And she did not seem to feel any hostility towards Sirius either; she kept telling him that she loved him because she knew that the pain would soon be over, and then she'd have a wonderful daughter to shower with love.

An hour later a Sirius emerged into the waiting room, and of course, Peter was no where to be found. Sirius led them into the same hospital room that Lily and Harry had shared. Sirius picked up his smiling baby girl and said, "Everyone, I would like to introduce you to my daughter: This is Hallie Marie Black."

Much like Sirius had when Harry was born, a look of utter disgust crossed Lily's face. She turned to Sirius and said, "Why didn't you name the baby after me?"

Everyone laughed, but Sirius just scowled.

"Anyway," Sirius said, "Prongs you are going to be her godfather because Moony is too stubborn about his furry little problem."

"Thanks Padfoot," James said, "So I win by default? Real flattering."

"James! Shut up!" Lily said. They still would constantly fight, just like when they were in school; but that was half the fun.

Violet spoke up, "Now Camey, don't be offended, but I want Lily to be Hallie's godmother."

"No, no! I'm not offended. Actually, this works out perfectly!" Camey exclaimed. "I'm Harry's godmother, Lily is Hallie's godmother, and that means Vi can be my baby's godmother!"

"Your baby?" Vi asked.

"Wait! Camey are you pregnant too?" Lily asked.

"No! No!" Camey exclaimed. “I just meant that when I do have a baby (which will be a time in the far, very far, future) then Vi can be its godmother."

"Oh," Remus replied with a look of relief on his face.

Changing the subject, James sat Harry down on the bed with Hallie. "These two need to get acquainted, if they are going to be the future us at Hogwarts," James told Sirius.

"Well," said Lily. "I'm all for them becoming friends. But, Vi and I are going to do everything in our power to make sure they don't turn out like you!"

James and Sirius put on looks of deep hurt while Remus laughed. "The world isn't ready for another James and Sirius!" he said.

The adults (Sirius and James included in that category, for once) watched the two children play for hours. Everyone could tell that the two would become best friends (much like James and Sirius). They all marveled at how perfect life was at this moment, and they dreaded what was to come, the moment they left this room.
