ROCKFORD - Come dressed as your favorite Harry Potter character and join Discovery Center Museum for a magical good time as the Museum is transformed into Hogwart's from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Jan 24.
Young wizard apprentices will be able to take part in a potions class taught by a visiting Hogwart's professor. Watch a demonstration with phoenix feathers and fire. Make an invisible map and meet one of Professor Dumbledore's Hogwart owls.
Discovery Center will have whomping willow seeds, refreshments, and more. Harry Potter may even be flying in for a special visit. Bring your Muggle parents for a magically fun family time!
This is the third annual Harry Potter event at Discovery Center and activities relate to the third book in the Harry Potter series.
Admission to Harry Potter's Hogwart's Happening III is $5 for the public (adults and children) and $3 for members (adults and children). Admission also includes access to Discovery Center Museum and all exhibits.

Discovery Center Museum is a non-profit organization providing hands-on math, science and art experiences for all ages with over 250 hand-on exhibits. Discovery Center Museum is located inside Riverfront Museum Park, 711 N. Main St., Rockford.
General admission to the Museum is: $4 adults, $3 children (ages 2 to 17) and free to children under 2 years and Museum members. Hours open are: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday; Noon to 5 p.m., Sunday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays that are Rockford Public School holidays and between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
