Luna's PoV - reference to Milly and her dead mother
Meddlesome,
Intruding,
This Milly woman was.
Always wishing to share,
In her pain and her joy,
She always wanted to be seen to care,
It was like a hobby she could enjoy.
Luna would not be her plaything,
And neither her toy,
A year today her mother had died,
And left her all alone.
She would not go to that cemetery,
With this faker by her side,
Flowers clutched in shivering hands,
As shivering hands did hide
sad tears that slid down one's face,
For the loss they had enjured,
For the pain they would keep on feeling,
For her happiness not insured.
Mother, why you pain me?
Why torment me so?
Why make me feel this bad,
Why cling to me moreso
than father, who you loved,
More dearly than another,
He was the strength, the provider
And he was ocne your lover.
Mother hear me now,
Help me please,
I'm begging you as a child,
Set me free.
Dont allow me to be pained,
By the fresh memories,
Of how you used to care for me,
And bounce me on your knees.
Mother, please hear me,
This is my final prayer,
Please cease to hurt me,
Please try to care,
Please try to understand,
That I do recognise that you're there. |
