What you have to remember about Harry books is they are for children and the Vocabulary used in most of the dialect is the same sort that British children are using at the time she is writing the books.Whilst this dosent help are friends around the world 100% its not that hard to work out. She of course can't use all the things children say as it would make the books no longer be books for children.(and the young at heart)

As for the Potter novels been for people who dont have too much imagination, all i can say to that is they are the first set of books in about 16 years that i havent guessed what was going to happen next. and at about 70 books a year were talking about 1100 books where i worked out whats going to happen before im half way trough.
