1) Samaritan by Richard Price
2) The Cruious incident of the dog in the night-time by Mark Haddon
3) What was she thinking? notes on scandal by Zoe Heller
4) Drop City by TC Boyle
5) Down and out in the magic kingdom by Cory Doctorow
6) The kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
7) The namesake by jhumpa lahiri
8) The known world by edwart p. jones
9) Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by JK Rowling
10) train by Pete Dexter

I've heard any of those books except for OoTP

there's also a list of nonfiction books of the year but i don't wanna say it..there's really no point...
