Kay finally reached out and turned off the tap. The only sound she could hear was the water hitting the floor and washing down the drain. She walked out of the shower and into the main area of the locker room, leaving a trail of water because she was completely soaked.
"Ah, everyone must have left for the common room," she said to herself in a low voice and she rummaged about in her locker for a towel. She took the towel and buried her face in it for a moment before drying her hair with it. Looking into the mirror that was inside her locker, Kay realized that she looked like she jumped in the lake and gave a weak laugh. She grabbed her broomstick and put it inside the locker and grabbed her wand, before locking it shut.
With her wand tucked safely away and the towel slung over her shoulder, Kay squared her shoulders and held her head up high as she walked out of the locker room.
