Okay well here it is, Yeah Ottery I know I wrote you a little flat but what can I say? You're a tad hard to write!
Chapter 2 Spy games
When they got back to the Gryffindor common room after making sure Lissy, Lady V and Si got back to there common rooms,
Ottery headed for his dorm room to study for a test.” Farewell Angels.” He said and walked up the stairs followed by a teddy bear.
"Bye Ottery!" Shannon said then turned to Princess Thea "Why does he have to study? Doesn't he know everything?"
“I have no clue. Sometimes he just likes to be alone I guess.“ Princess Thea said and turned around to see Ron, Harry and Hermione by the fire.
“Hi Princess Thea!” Hermione said as she, Shannon and Candy walked into the room.
“Hello, Hermione. How are you tonight? Lots of homework I see?” Thea said as she walked toward the trio.
“Princess I’m going to my room now.” Shannon said as she and Candy walked up the stairs towards our room. “We will talk there okay?”
“Okay. See you guys in a few minutes.” She said as she turned toward Harry, Ron and Hermione “So what are you guys working on so late?”
“Potions!” Came the reply from Harry.
“Aww yes, you’ve gotta love Snape!” Princess Thea said sarcastically “Just wait until you are in his Owl class, it gets even worse!”
“Thanks for encouragement!” Ron said laughing.
“No problem, hey are you guys going to the Halloween ball?” she asked and noticed Ron turning very red.
“I want to,” Harry replied “I’m just not sure who I could go with.”
“What about Ginny?” Thea suggested
“Well.. Um.. Maybe. I’ll have to see.” Harry replied nervously
“Has anyone asked you yet Hermione?”
“No, Not yet but hopefully soon.” She said looking pointedly at Ron.
Ron caught her gaze and turned even redder, in order to get the scrutiny off himself he turned to Princess Thea and asked “Who are you going with?”
She smiled “I’m going with Jack Snow.”
“Jack Snow! Wow he is a very handsome guy isn’t he.” Hermione said dreamily and Ron looked at her as though he had been scorned.
“Yes he is very handsome, what do you guys think of him?” she thought maybe if they had heard anything they might tell her.
“He seems pretty quiet, he is trying out for the Quidditch team though.” Harry said
Her heart sunk, just another excuse to get close to Harry Potter “Really?”
“Yes. He’s actually quite a decent beater.” Harry replied shrugging.
“Oh okay, Well I’ll let you guys get back to your homework. Good luck with it!” she said knowing that they hadn’t heard anything.
“Goodnight Princess Thea.” They chorused as she headed up to her room. When she got there she found that Shannon and Candy were already asleep. “Oh well,” She thought to herself. “it’s probably just as well.” She got into her pajamas and crawled into bed, falling asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
“I can’t believe we are doing this!” Princess Thea protested as she, Shannon and Candy were walking sitting by the stairs in the common room the next morning.
“Come on Thea!” Candy said laughing “You are supposed to spy on Mr. Snow, so look you are spying.”
“Target at 3 o’clock!” Shannon whispered as Jack come into view
“Target at 3 o’clock? Oh come on now!” Princess Thea said this was getting ridiculous!
“Well I’ve always wanted to be a spy!” Shannon said giggling, “This seems like the perfect opportunity!”
“Yes but spying on him in the common room? That’s not what I had in mind, I pictured following him through dark corridors, leaping out of the way if he turned around. Seeing if he really does have a dark secret. Not hiding behind the staircase saying target at 3o’clock!” Princess Thea said sighing, it wasn’t enough that she liked the boy, liking a boy in it’s self was hard but she had to add another thing to it! She had to follow him and see if he was trying to kill Harry Potter! She sighed, why couldn’t love ever be easy?
“Yes well I suppose we could do that later.” Shannon admitted
“Yes we can.” Candy added going down the steps
“Good.” Thea said following Shannon and Candy down the stairs.
“Princess Thea!” She heard a voice call out as she entered the common room. She looked up to find herself looking gorgeous green eyes.
“Hi Jack.” she managed to croak out
“I’ve been waiting for you, I was wondering if I could walk you to breakfast?” He said flashing that knee weakening smile.
“Breakfast? Ohh right breakfast! Yes that would be fine.” My goodness one look into those green eyes and all normal thoughts had raced out of her head.
“Is now alright?” He asked
“Now?” She hesitated
“Yes! Now would be fine!” Shannon said from behind her.
Jack laughed “Okay now it is!” He said as he offered Princess Thea his arm
She took it and looked back at Shannon “You go girl!” she mouthed as they walked out the portrait hole.
“What was that all about?” Jack asked as they walked down to the dining hall.
“What? Oh Shannon? I have no idea.” She quietly
“Are you okay?” You seem kind of distant.” Jack asked as they stopped in a deserted corridor
“Yes, I’m okay.” She said looking his eyes. “But if you keep looking at me like that I might not be.” Her eyes widened in shock,” I said that out loud didn’t I?”
“Yes you did.” he said laughing “Why would you not be okay if I look at you?” He said his gaze getting even more piercing
“Well,,” she trailed off. Just great Thea, go and say the wrong thing. “Umm. When you look at me like that well.. I.. Ummm.. “ she couldn’t bring herself to say it.
“What?” He asked
“Well umm, when you look at me like that I go all jelly inside and all coherent thoughts leave my mind.” She said in a rush, there it was done. Now he probably thought she was crazy. She looked down and fiddled with her robes.
“I like you too.”
Her head snapped up at that, and she looked into his eyes.
“Really?”
“Yes really.” he said smiling “now that we got that out of the way, lets go get something to eat! I’m starving!” They laughed and headed down to breakfast arm in arm, Princess Thea felt like she was floating on a cloud. Not to mention her eyes were the brightest purple they had ever been. She looked over at Jack and smiled, then she looked around and saw Ottery. All of a sudden she felt like cold water had been poured over her. She couldn’t like Jack, she was supposed to spy on him, find out if he really did want to kill Harry Potter. Well that could wait until after breakfast. For now she was gonna enjoy herself.
She didn’t notice that she was being watched by Si, Lissy and Lady V in the corner of the room.
