Iphigeneia, still holding her burning hand, began hopping from one foot to the other to keep from passing out in pain as she waited for the Professor's attention...
I should have used the gloves...I should have used the gloves...
Peony let out a hiss of breath as the Slytherin, as she jumped from one foot to the other like a stuck-to-the-floor, demented Easter rabbit. The eyeball rolled ever nearer, with every thump of the foot as it came down.
Squelch.
That didn't really do the sound justice. It was more of a squuuueeeellllcccchhhh. Peony had no idea that eyeballs turned to goo when squashed, and made such a loud noise doing it. The organ had simply disintergrated into white jelly, caught between a hard, unyielding floor, and a heavy foot.
"Oh,
heck," she said, throwing a lot of meaning into that relatively harmless word. "That's disgusting."
With
one part of her mind occupied, the
other part came up easily, like a seesaw. Peony's left hand rose jerkily to point at her right. "
Sanatio," she heard her own voice say, and her hand stopped burning so badly. It just hurt now. The pimple still gleamed.
Peony stared.
I'm helpful, I heeelpful, sang the Voice in tune to the song
Good Morning in the moive
Singin' in The Rain.
I'm helpful the whole day through! I'm helpful, I'm helpful to youuuuuu and you and you...
Peony's eyes widened, aghast, as her wand pointed jerkily at the Slytherins. If something went wrong, she would have to account for it! "
Sanatio." It wasn't a healing charm, just a simple cleansing one. It stopped the liquid from burning any further.
