Peony barely dared bend to pick it up. For one thing, some sort of liquid was dripping from the red welts, and it sizzled slightly as it touched the floor. Looks nasty, observed the Voice, showing it's wonderful, rare talent for stating the obvious. Well, duh, replied Peony, alarmed to the point that she wasn't even aware of using such a common colloquial. She stared at her eyeball, and uttered a small, inaudible squeak as it began to roll around slightly.
Raising frightened brown eyes, Peony realised how silly she was being. It was simple. Perform a simple Healing charm, or at least clean the liquid off, then lean down to scoop up the eyeball. In her confused state, Peony did the latter first.
The inaudible squeak became a rather loud: "-BEEP-!" as a drip of the liquid rolled down her palm. It burned furiously. Peony admired the Slytherin for bearing it. Pain had never been one of Peony's strong points. Get your wand out. Perform the cleansing spell on it at least.
And Peony felt her hand being controlled slightly, reaching into her pocket despite her will. The Voice was doing it again, controlling her actions slightly. Peony winced as a flare of pain spread across her hand. A little boiling red pimple peeped out of the slkin coyly.
