Winter.

Vi usually appreciated the change in weather that came with the approach of Christmas. Desiccation was not a state he could ever picture being associated with such a festive holiday. Trudging through Hogsmeade now, his thoughts led him to think about how much he was looking forward to the holidays with the family. For one thing, he couldn’t wait to see not-so-tiny Eraos again! That nephew of his was his everything.

As snow started to drift lazily down, the Gryffindor decided that he should probably take shelter for a bit. He wasn’t keen on contracting the flu, you see. That Pepperup Potion was not something he found fun. One of the nearest shops happened to be Puddifoot’s. Vi made a face because… did he really want to go in there? There would be love-sick, goo-goo eyed couples in there, surely? But he was also hungry and the shop did offer a great selection of sweet tweats treats.

Mind made up, Vi trudged right in - sincerely hoping he would not run into Di and Zen -, ordered himself a slice of carrot cake, and then proceeded to get himself a seat. He selected one near a window, wanting to have a view of something other than the couples. He could use the quiet time to mull over some Quidditch tactics, anyhow. Pulling off his beanie, Vi tousled his hair as he gazed outside. Snow was awfully pretty. This wasn’t something he usually took the time to appreciate.
