This. Was all correct. Professor Khanna had been the one to help him realize where his commitment to a real career path lay. The training that came along with that goal was rather intense at times but deeply needed. For the normally quiet, timid guy he tended to be, a life path leading towards defense in the Dark Arts was quite.. peculiar. Or so he thought. Maybe it was this side of him that needed to show it wasn't always so timid after all.
A slow exhale was bad at the response. Okay, so he wasn't a complete disgrace right now. He hasn't been so lost in thought he hadn't noticed Vi for ages. Only a tiny moment or two. Still though, Fel sighed , his eyes drifting away from his friend and to the ground beside where the other seventh year now sat. Any other day Fel would've scooted over and told his buddy to join him on the plush chair but.. maybe this was for the best. Despite making it more difficult not to look Viano in the face at least he wasn't side by side or leaning against him as he did from time to time. That would've deeply thrown him for a loop on what he was about to say. "Uhhh, I-.. I really don't even know..." This was the truth. He didn't know how he was feeling except confused. A part of him knew he should be open and honest about his thoughts but the rest of him was telling him to continue being quiet about it and not ruin years of close friendship. And yet... "Not lost.. at least not yet..." He would be if he continued to talk.
