Harvard Ulysses Blackwell was raised for success before anyone knew magic would become part of his life. Born into a wealthy Muggle family, he grew up with tutors, formal dinners, prestigious schools, and constant talk of universities, careers, investments, and influence. He learned to speak well, behave properly, make connections, and carry himself like someone destined for importance. Somehow, nobody ever taught him how to swim.
His family worked hard to temper his rebellious streak, and on the surface they succeeded. Harvard is polished, ambitious, articulate, and composed; underneath remains a curious, stubborn, adventurous boy who simply learned to misbehave discreetly.
At home, Harvard hunted for hidden passages, locked rooms, and forgotten corners. He befriended household staff and learned early that overlooked people often knew the most. Secrets bother him for much the same reason: once Harvard knows something is being hidden, he finds it extremely difficult to leave it alone.
Hogwarts expanded those instincts. House-elves, ghosts, portraits, and students became part of a growing circle of acquaintances. Harvard remembers names, trades favors, keeps confidences, and listens carefully. Without quite meaning to, he has built an information network capable of carrying rumors, directions, sightings, and messages throughout the castle.
Before his second year, Harvard learned that his parents were expecting another child. He was happy to have a sibling, but the timing was impossible to ignore. Hogwarts had opened a future the Blackwells could neither plan nor fully understand, and suddenly the family no longer depended entirely upon Harvard choosing the life prepared for him.
Hiram still expects Harvard to finish Hogwarts, master his magic, and return to the Muggle world for Oxford, Cambridge, and a prestigious career. Harvard knows his family still believes he can become everything they intended, but Shiloh quietly provides them another future if he refuses. He does not resent his sister; what unsettles him is knowing that choosing his own path may mean surrendering the place he once assumed could never be taken from him.
