Sardines ♥ // Nomsy, yo ❄ rolling in the ink ❄ He was two minutes late.
Typically for Collin, that would be a win. Two minutes late to work? Barely counted. Two minutes late to family dinner or class, back in the day? No one even noticed. And he hadn’t even thought about family dinner in years, so it was odd that the thought was coming up for him.
Especially now, as he stepped through the door of the Leaky Cauldron in a rush, as if he was windswept. Or being chased by a large, particularly scary bear.
Not a great look, but it was one that Collin was used to seeing on himself. Somewhat frazzled. In, he hoped, a charming way.
But that had been the problem, hadn’t it? He was so worried about being charming, being interesting, that his plan to be ten minutes early turned into two minutes late and making apologetic eye contact with the Leaky employee behind the bar for his less-than-subtle entrance.
Then, though, his gaze traveled over each seat in the pub before landing on Jordan. One of Collin’s hands lifted seemingly on its own accord and ran through his hair as he made his way through the pub to the back corner where the man was sitting. The - essentially - stranger who Collin had frankly been thinking of too much since their random meeting at the coffee place.
Right. Deep breath. It was only lunch. “Hey,” he greeted with more of a huff than he was proud to admit, sliding into the seat at the table across from Jordan. “I apologize for being late. I-” he paused, a slight frown forming between his eyebrows. “I have no good excuse. I couldn’t decide on a shirt.” Ah, yes. There it was.
