Sardines ♥ // Nomsy, yo ❄ rolling in the ink ❄ What a gentle handshake. Did the boy think she was fragile? She’d have to set the record straight at some point. “Don’t you worry too much about that,” Lillian responded with a dismissive wave of her hand. “He didn’t.” Do the name justice, that is. Though that may have something to do with the small fact that his name was, in fact, not Julian.
Moving on.
A satisfied smile settled onto her lips as both Julian and Elara on the other side of Vashti inquired about Harold. “Of course I brought him to dinner. I’m worried about him.” She glanced at the plant in question before turning to answer Julian’s question. “This is Harold. He’s a shrivelfig. And he should have flowered by now.” She tossed a look to the plant again, prepared to go in a rant about an expected shrivelfig lifecycle and how concerned she was that he was not following the mold, when Elara again stole her attention.
Had she dropped her pumpkin juice? “Dear,” she said gently, producing her wand and, with a silent flick, clearing up the mess on the tablecloth that Elara had been attempting to handle with a terribly inadequate napkin. “Are you quite alright?”
… and, since it seemed fitting, to Julian’s remark Lillian gave a cheerful, “You can stay, dear boy. Merlin knows we need you.”
