~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ Claimed by Bits ❤️ ~ Queen of Typos ❄ Magical Mosh Pit ❄ Levi was aware that Cox gave his potion a tad extra attention. Sometimes it made him nervous because he was half afraid to hear he had done something wrong. The other half of him wouldn’t mind hearing such since it meant that he would - hopefully - be able to correct whatever error had been made. Thankfully, today’s lesson did not fall into the latter scenario. Cox’s single word and nod made the Hufflepuff’s heart explode with happiness and relief. “Thanks again, professor!” The man’s feedback was always welcome and appreciated; just imagine all that Levi could learn from the man’s expertise!
Unset cement? Curdled milk? Making a face at the thought of his elixir turning out like that, Levi added these to his notes for future reference. “Constant vigilance is also required for potion brewing,” he told himself. Anyway, who believed that Cox would let them consume subpar potions? Certainly not him. Cox wouldn’t risk it all to harm the students, right?
With things progressing, the third year set his quill down on the pages of his open book to watch in fascination as the ‘hands’ put on a sort of show. In the end, a blue one appeared in front of him so he reached out to take it. Oh… so the hands were a part of testing the elixir! Obviously Levi did his best to follow the instructions to the letter.
Tongs and hand in either of his actual hands, some of the elixir was placed on the fake hand’s surface. Tap. tap! The excess was gotten rid of! Soon enough the count to ten hippogriffs was also completed which meant… the fun part! The excited boy seized the other end of the hand and… STREEETCHEEED!
It was safe to say that he was quite delighted with the results. It did not feel like or seem like there were any of those adverse effects Cox described as the hand stretched and snapped back into shape with perfection. Levi basked in the moment of success; in a moment he’d head over to try out the activity. |
