At this point, Cat wouldn’t exactly be suprised, you know? Even though maybe it was a miscommunication on her part. “So. Same family. Yeah?”

“Third year!” she repeated, brightening. “Me too! The serpent one is probably Slytherin. It’ll be interesting to see where you end up. If it’s Gryffindor, my best friend Marina is in that house.” And he was giving her major Gryffindor vibes.
She was about to tell him so, actually, but his comment about her being both sweet and sour stumped her momentarily, and then he was wiping the top of her nose with the sleeve of his shirt. Also, his face was very close to her face.

Her eyes were a bit wider than they should’ve been, and her usually-whirlwind mind screeched to a stop. The only thought that popped up then was one specific part of her seven-part Plan to More Maturity which involved her face being close to someone else’s face.
She coughed into her hand, clearing her throat as well as her mind. “Deliquesce.” She repeated.[b] “My vibe is deliquesce?”
