His attention lingered on her a fraction longer than usual, not out of suspicion, but like a teacher watching a student he already knew might need a steadier hand.

He waited... but the moment never came.

The measuring tape slipped back into his hand in a loose coil and Victor gathered it absently, smoothing it once between his fingers before letting it rest. His shoulders eased slightly as his focus returned to the girl.

"Good day," he greeted, his smile easy. "I'll be back in just a moment."

As he passed, his fingers brushed lightly along the shelves and paused where he expected the box to be, only to find the space empty. A faint crease formed between his brows.

"…hm."

For a moment, he simply stood there, hands settling at his hip as his gaze moved across the rows and exhaled softly, the sound touched with wry amusement.

"Rearranging themselves again, are we…" he murmured under his breath.

At last, he spotted it... just out of reach. With a small shake of his head, he stepped onto a nearby ladder, climbing about halfway up. The wood gave a soft creak under his weight as he reached and drew the box free. When he returned to her, the box rested easily in his hand.

"For your consideration," Victor smiled, his voice warm again as he opened it, angling it gently toward her. "Go on," he added, his free hand lifting in a small encouraging gesture. "Pick it up and give it a little flourish."
The moment the tape flew to to the wandmaker, Bisan let out the breath she'd be holding in the last seconds of the measuring process and casually rubbed the back of her elbow with her other hand. It was to relieve herself from the tickly sensation from earlier, and a secret means to calm herself. She'd read that tickles triggered some kind of defense mechanism in people, as if they were in danger. There was absolutely nothing dangerous here. So. She can't be ticklish. It's just tape.

"Good afternoon, sir," Bisan offered the man soft (almost practiced) smile. "Yeah, okay." She would have said he could take all the time he needed - perhaps finding her the perfect wand would need more looking through the displays, right? - but that would be a lie. A girl can get impatient, especially when she wanted to grab an ice cream cone after this.

She kept her eyes on the wandmaker as he moved. Except for half the second she spent side-eyeing a different pile of wands to the other side. Rejected wands? What if her wand was on the stack instead? But the soft creaking from the ladder as the man stepped back down had her attention again, and Bisan's eyes fell onto the box fast.

While she remained steady where she stood, anyone who looked closely would see the subtle way her eyes lit up. But she's trying not to be obvious, duh. Can't look too excited.

"It is pretty." Bisan commented about the wand being offered to her, and she flexed her fingers slightly on her side before she lifted her hand to pick the wand up as instructed. She wasn't sure if the gentle tingling on her fingers upon holding the wand meant something good, but it certainly wasn't a sign of rejection. And what did a flourish mean? See, Bisan had thought about what she wanted her wand waving gesture to be. A swish and flick? Boring. A jab? Hazardous.

Bisan gave the wand a brief close-up look before pointing it downwards, eight o'clock, and then made a big semi-circle in the air, drawing a rainbow over herself. Could wands read minds? Because it was as if the wand knew she wanted to create a rainbow. And oh what a shimmery rainbow that was!

Pretty. Pretty, pretty. She tried her very best not to seem properly impressed by the spell work she'd just managed there and then. All on her own. "Do you like rainbows, sir?" Bisan finally tilted her head up at him again with a look that meant that there was only one correct answer to her question.

Maybe the tickling was worth it. That's a joke, but it is the sentiment that mattered.
