"There we go," he smiled. His gaze softened as it shifted back to her from her shoes. "You are quite all right. There is very little one can do to anticipate how a wand will respond the first time it is held."
His eyes flicked to the floor and he gave a slight tilt of his head, considering it with a quiet thoughtfulness. before he turned to the shelves and began new deliberations. "If a wand leans too strongly in one elemental direction," Victor explained, selecting another box, his fingers brushing over the edge before lifting it gently. "It is often wise to offer its opposite."
He opened the box, revealing the next wand. It wasn’t about fixing what had gone wrong, but about giving her another opportunity to find what was right.
"Try again," Victor said, softer still, his tone full of quiet confidence. "No apologies required this time." The water didn't have time to soak through her shoes before mr wandman had made the water vanish with a quick flick of his wand. Tiana was silently appreciative because wet, and cold socks were never funny to endure especially when she hated being cold. Tiana overheard how Tyler apprently found his right wand, and that made her even more eager, and determined to find her own too. She didn't want her twin to leave with a shiny wand, and not her. Nope, not going to happen if she had something to say about it.
Accepting the new wand that came out of the next box, Tiana eyed it for moment, finding the right feel in her hand before giving the wand a firm flick. She felt how warmth, and energy flowed up through her hand, and into her wand, and watched with a gaping mouth how a number of red roses left the tip of her wand, and had within seconds formed a whole rosebush in front of her feet. "Wow, that felt amazing!..Warm, energized and just right...I've found my match, haven't I Mr wandman?" She was practically bouncing now on her feet with excitement, and happiness.
