The only reason why Aurora might look into name meanings in that way is if she had kids. And even then she wasn’t sure.

“Indeed there are quite a few features one can utilise to inspire a name. Oreo is a brilliant play on the physical aspect of a tuxedo cat.” Sarika was a bit familiar with Aurora’s pet, having seen Oreo with Idris’ at times. “I’m sure Oreo loves their name.” Such an adorable one!

So it wasn't just a matter of one reason, after all.

Diego seemed caught up in thought as he researched his name. From what Sarika knew of and had observed about the Gryffindor, he most likely was thinking deeply about his family like many of the other Oracles. Reflecting upon one’s name often led to thinking of family history, after all.

“That’s a wonderful manner in which you came up with Oatie’s name,’’ the woman remarked. Very cute too, as with Aurora and Oreo before. “Not to mention oatmeal is rather healthy, so I hope Oatie channels that and has a long, healthy life.” Oatie and all pets, as a matter of fact. “Both are excellent ways to select a name, Diego.” Cue a warm smile!

There being no more hands raised, Sarika returned to the front of the classroom. “With that, we’ve come to the end of another lesson. Remember to hand over your parchment before leaving, please! If you would like to borrow today’s featured tome - Nomina Aeternum - you can let me know.” Professor Curious’ only rule was that the books be returned in their pristine condition. "Do have an enjoyable rest of your day, my Oracles!"
