^I love the Percy Jackson series too! Admittedly, I haven't read most of the other sequel series or side stories, except for The Heroes of Olympus books, but the original series is so special to me.

I read it for the first time back around the same time as when we were learning about Greek mythology in school. One of my friends had read it and suggested the series to me. I remember thinking how cool it was seeing how Rick Riordan incorporated the mythology into a modern setting. It felt so creative and fun. Plus, how can you not love the hilarious and charming narration from Percy's POV? So of course, I fell in love with it and have loved it ever since

Those are an awesome selection of scenes, Ali In particular, I love the build up to Poseidon claiming Percy, all the little hints and questions up to that point that culminate in this moment that gives me chills. I also love the suspense in the Aunty Em scene with the statues and Grover recognizing one of them. And the Percy vs. Ares fight is just so epic

Another scene I love is the one in the Arch where Percy faces the Chimera before jumping into the river. And I also love pretty much any scene that Sally Jackson is in I love the relationship between her and Percy so much. The lengths she went to in order to protect her son, and then the lengths Percy is willing to go to in order to save his mom, it's just so beautiful and sweet
