It was the movies that were my gateway. The books passed me by, so I didn't get to enjoy reading them myself or to my kids as they grew up. That has been rectified now, and I re-read them every year. Kids are all grown up and moved out so I never did get to read the books to them.
Movies get re-watched every Christmas
