Dates with her husband ALWAYS made Esme very happy. It didn’t matter how long they had been together, or what they did. She was just really happy to be with her Olly.

Ice cream dates were one of her favourite kinds of dates, and the summer was the best time for them. It was so nice to escape from the heat and enjoy something cold. Esme had chosen salted caramel ice cream with nuts on top. That was a yummy choice and she was very much looking forward to enjoying it.

Having reached the table they would be sitting at, she waited for Olly to join her. But instead of making his way over to her, he was just… standing there not looking so good. Frowning in concern, Esme made her way over to him. ”Let’s sit down.” Poor Olly had clearly gotten brain freeze, and he needed to sit down and wait for it to pass. Esme kissed his forehead as if that would help him to feel better.
