Aries blinked at that. Just once. Then the corner of his mouth tilted, slow and unguarded, like he hadn’t meant to smile and did anyway. “You do,” he said simply. His gaze met hers for half a second longer, as if taking in something he hadn't noticed and he really should have. And then... he cleared his throat before looking back down the aisle, giving her space without retreating entirely.
“For what it’s worth,” he continued, tone easy again, “I think the nicer talking ones maybe respond to mood. Less commentary, more… reassurance.” His shoulders lifted in a small shrug. He paused, then added, almost as an afterthought, “Do you think your friend sounds like someone who could use that?”
