Kara was busy attending to her rounds of talking to the owls, when she heard the door slam. It didn't really bother her too much as the owlery was a public domain where people frequently entered and departed. Nonetheless the second year turned to address her when the girl was seemingly embarrassed by her presence.

Smiling over at her direction and waving nonchalantly, Kara shook her head, "No worries I was just about to refresh the water for these magnificent creatures, but is everything okay?"

She wasn't very good on the socializing, other than with her mother, but she was working on improving.
