"Hello, Professor!" she said with a cheerful smile, joined by Kritti and Thena.

Once inside, Hermione went over to her usual seat. She took out her book, flipped to page 314, and set up a parchment and quill for any notetaking, and waited for the lesson to begin.
It came as little surprise seeing Ravenclaws join the fray early on, since Arithmancy always had that more theoretical knowledge. Although she herself probably would have found herself more in Hufflepuff had she attended Hogwarts as a teen.

"Hello, Miss Laramore, good seeing you as always,"

While the fact was a bittersweet one, it did not mean that she wasn’t quite enthusiastic about what her life held beyond these Castle boundaries. For now, she would happily settle for enjoying her classes and the people she was fond of. Two of whom were beside her as they headed for Arithmancy, one of the seventh year’s best subjects.

“Hi, Professor Springer.” The woman received a bright smile because who wasn’t thrilled to be present at another Arithmancy lesson? There didn’t appear to be anything that indicated what the topic might be, which was fine. Kritti liked surprises. She selected a seat between Hermy and Thena and began unpacking her writing materials and books.
She wondered if the male Joshi would be along as well, deciding he likely would be joining Krittika. Jasmine while still 6-months new to the school and students had quickly learned of the competitiveness in certain students. It wasn't malicious rivalry, just the usual sibling rivalry that she'd been all to familiar with her own brother.

"Hello Miss Joshi," she noted.

She took out everything she needed for the lesson and opened her book to page 314.
The hufflepuff she was familiar with not just from earlier Arithmancy lessons, but also from quidditch tryouts and matches; the fourth year had proved quite the impressive chaser for Hufflepuff.

"Hello Miss Bay, lovely seeing you, as always," she smiled back.

He then took his seat in the very front of the class (his favorite spot), and extracted his textbook from his school bag.
It was always a good thing when first years were excited about Arithmancy. She knew it wasn't always the easiest of subjects to grasp. "Hello Mr Cadwallader, I'm doing quite splendid and I trust you are as well?" If it was any indication to how he entered the classroom than he no doubt was. She hadn't turned him off the subject yet.

She wished her good morning, her voice as light as ever, hoping the numbers were behaving for her today. She floated to her usual seat and slid into it with ease. Her bag thumped as she set it down and pulled out her textbook, which she quickly flipped to page 314 with curiosity piqued. Something about that number felt satisfyingly round in her mind, or maybe it was the pie thing.

She sat up a little straighter now that her quill was ready and the parchment had been unrolled. She was already wondering if they were going to be calculating some numbers or decoding birthday meanings. She hoped it was the birthday greeting. She'd gotten very good at not-so-subtly figuring out classmates' phone numbers to see who was secretly the dramatic type.

Viv was ready for whatever they were learning today. Especially if there was a little mystery and a lot of maths.
The latest to enter the room, another young one, this one was quietly taking it all in from what Jasmine could gather. Given the introspective nature of the subject she was okay with quiet. It wasn't as if the young girl proved inadequate in the subject. So she would just let her be with her thinking, as long as she was paying attention, she wasn't fussed by lack of conversation. She did offer her the usual welcoming smile.

Once the time came to start the lesson, the door closed shut, and Professor Springer clasped her hands together in front of her. "Greetings, i trust all of you did not just trek up seven stairwells only to trek back down when you realized the Arithmancy classroom was not in fact in the east towers," she mused. Not that she'd done that.... today. It only took six months for her to somewhat know her way around the grand castle.

"The number seven. One of my favorite numbers. Reevaluating. Focus, Analyzing. It's also a number that connects deeply to the core of the Personality number as we look to our outer selves in how others perceive us. Today's lesson will be looking at the personality number in how it relates to our Hogwarts Houses, but before we get into the nitty gritty of calculations, let's talk first about some key attributes of the Hogwarts Houses - you can go with the stereotypical traits, or for those of you who have been around longer, you may have noticed other traits possessed that aren't typical but still hold true."

ooc: class has begun, you're welcome to join in at anytime throughout. Pretend as though you've been here all along or risk consequences for tardiness. First question is pretty simple, but talking about what you know of your hogwarts house - it doesn't have to be your chosen character's house, but feel free to use other houses too, might be intriguing for how your Ravenclaw character sees Gryffindors, for instance
