Even after she had been a Hogwarts student, the one thing that Chandler had been aware of was that the shops in Diagon Alley were much busier during the summers. It had become more obvious after she had begun university, and stayed on as a part time shop clerk since it meant she had been around for the rest of the year. Not just summers, as she had done while at Hogwarts.
She had just gotten back from her lunch break when she heard a customer calling from the main area of the shop. It seemed Mr. Sterling had also taken a break or some such thing, so the strawberry-blonde had slipped out of the back after stowing away her belongings. “Hello, how can I help you?”, she said politely, giving the woman a smile as she shifted a few stray bits of parchment to the side. No need to risk her boss’ mail accidentally getting given to a customer.
