| astronomizzle ♧ gryffinDORK | & the rest is drag ♣ #badluckDerf Diamond swept into the transformed Great Hall like she did every room she strut into: like she owned it. The echo of her heels clicking against the flagstones was a satisfying sound, the kind that said I’m here and you’re lucky to have me, those clumped together like clingy laundry because Merlin forbid they attend a lesson without being attached at the hip, and finally to the representative from the Department of Transportation — Urquhart. Who still, frankly, looked like she’d walked straight out of a couture runway in the Alps with all that severe cheekbone and 'I-don’t-suffer-fools' energy. Diamond gave a respectful-enough nod. She liked a woman who didn’t blink before vaporizing a student and had found their first lesson tolerable enough not to be inspired to give any haughtiness and not because karma had bit her in the derriere or anything last time.
Settling a bit away from the others, Diamond readied a bit of parchment and a quill as she settled into her seat by the window where the light hit her just right. MAYBE if the Ministry had had decent lighting and better exam writers she wouldn't have failed the written test the first two times and not at all because she lacked focus. The questions were clearly phrased to confuse people with actual taste. Diamond had NOT listened to the interview Urquhart had given with the WWN over and over again for clues to be left begging for scraps, obviously.
She glanced up at the board with a faintly unimpressed raise of her brow. Cute. She set her quill to the page and, in her swoopiest cursive, began. Quote: Out of here.
Because there are too many anklebiters and I am bored out of my mind seeing these castle walls.
Diamond twirled her quill a moment, letting the flourish of her handwriting dry. She crossed her legs and leaned back with the grace of someone expecting entertainment...and not entirely convinced it would deliver.
