One of the greatest things about quidditch tryouts was the opportunity to get to see quidditch players from other houses and how they maneuver around the quidditch pitch with the various tasks set forth by the Quidditch Official. She was grateful that the weather today was the most perfect of flying conditions instead of the manufactured snowstorm Professor Adara had brought upon the pitch last year. Made an even more opportune viewing arena. A bit surprised to see Aryan out here, she gave him an encouraging wave, as she mounted her broom. Pleased of course too that she'd been successful in convincing Aurora to be out here as well - although it didn't take too much convincing she'd played quidditch before. The flying moves that definitely caught her gaze however was that of the two gryffindor girls. It took her a minute after staring at the way the one effortlessly spiraled through the hoops for Emma to recover and realize she needed to get started with her own obstacle course. Breath, Emma. You didn't take several years of dance pre-Hogwarts for nothing. You've been playing for a few years yourself, you don't need some fancy maneuver, you got this. Although even as she told herself that, all she wanted to do that moment was ask for a lesson of that girl for that maneuver. Would she even help her, being an opponent? Surely it was good sportsmanship to teach what you know? But at the same time, would she help an opponent if she was adept in a signature move? Knowing that the opponent could potential use the move against her?

Thoughts of opposition and unique moves plaguing her, she set her mind to the hoops before her, concentrating, flying steadily and quickly though one and two and three, in quick succession as they moved, she barely made the third one, her broom twigs scraping the hoop edge but she had gone through.

Time for the slalom poles. Her seeker training was one that had given her the ability to fly up and down rather quickly, with a sense of urgency she managed to tackle those without too much grief.

It was the next part of the obstacle course that gave her uncertainty as well. While she'd played chaser before, it had been a couple years and her task these days involved a much smaller ball to catch. Much harder to see. But also her eyes had been trained to focus on such an object, whereas the large quaffle flying toward her in which she needed to catch while flying under the bar and toss it back while flying over... But determined as ever to prove herself to Professor Springer, she steered her broom towards the first bar, eyes on the bar in front but also the one in front of that where any moment a quaffle should be coming towards her ...
