Rafa had carried Diego’s trunk to his room and afterwards, had given him a moment to change. He could not contain his happiness at having his son back home, and one way he displayed this was by grabbing Dash by the waist and spinning around the living room with him. Then there was the family trip on the horizon for the three of them… Rafael thought that this just might be one of the best summers yet!

“He’s taking an awfully long time to join us, isn’t he?” he said to Dash after quite a few minutes had ticked by. “I’m going to go check on him. And I’m taking his surprise.” Grinning, he kissed his husband on the lips. “Tag along with me, babe?” With that, Rafael grabbed the baby raccoon plushie he had picked up recently.

Thrice he knocked on the door to Di’s room but when there was no response, he gently pushed the door open and was greeted by the most precious sight: his little human fast asleep while hugging Baba. The older Melo-Dreamer would have melted if it were physically possible, but he did melt inwardly. How had he and Dash managed to adopt the most adorable son ever?!

He tiptoed towards Diego’s bed, or as best as he could without making much noise given his muscular frame. Carefully, and doing his best not to wake Di, Rafa took up space on one side of the bed. He placed the baby raccoon next to Baba then slipped an arm around Di’s middle.

Cuddle fest, anyone?
