Adopt A Character



Do you have a character in your character’s family tree that you’d like to see come to life but don’t want to RP them yourself? Are you seeking inspiration for a new character that someone else can create for you? Do you enjoy developing character details and backgrounds but prefer someone else role-plays that character? If so, this might be just the place for you! This is not a character swap, though; instead, this is a thread for advertising characters who are either created by you or owned by you that you do not RP for whatever reason and who you would like to give away for someone else to potentially play.

Likewise, if you are looking for a new character to play, take a look through the listings for one that you might feel comfortable playing. It does not have to be one for one - you don’t have to claim one if you are offering one. If you’d like to claim a character up for grabs, simply post in here to specify which character you’d like as it’s first come, first served. Be sure to make every endeavor to play them, whether it is in one of the WWRPGs, here in St. Mungo’s, or off-site.

When posting a character to give away, please post a description or bio. It does not have to be extensive, but try to include as much as you can to help the potential RPer develop and play that character. Feel free to use the sample template. If you had previously offered a character that hadn't been adopted, feel free to resubmit them here with the updated information. Adopted characters can be found here.

Important Guidelines

• A maximum of three characters per member can be posted for adoption per month. Please put each character in their own individual post.
• If you are posting a character here, you agree to relinquish custody. You do not get to choose who does or does not claim your character as it is first come, first served.
• Remember that while the information you post about a character is yours to provide, the person claiming that character still has creative license to play them as they wish.
• There is a limit of adopting one character a month per member to give everyone a chance to claim open characters.
• Unclaimed characters, we ask that you update the post every 3-4 months to keep their details up-to-date. You're also welcome to request removing them anytime, so long as no one has claimed them.
• Once your character is adopted, they'll be moved to have their record classified here.
