“Sun….Sunbeam???” Of all the things to say and call her. “Are you feeling ok??” Sunbeam. 10/10 on it being Sappy. Made Theia chuckle a bit too much. Don't think Theia can compete with it..’ My favorite menace’ kinda worked it was sappy but wasn't on the same level.

Excuse her while she beams from the kiss.

Worst part is the kiss was great. Had to be strawberry. Just had to be. Now Diamond will be even more smug. Hard to even remember that this point there were other people here. Not going to bring it up and see that stupid smug smile since Theia might want to kiss her again

“I'm still not over Sunbeam you know”

The way Theia's face heated up, the way she fumbled over the word like it was too much for her to hold - it was aaaaaaaaaabsolutely adorable. But also like...talk about some secondhand embarrassment for a Ravenclaw now getting the perfect brilliance that was the nickname. Theia was warmth and brightness, the kind of person who could light up a room without even trying. A little dazzling, a little blinding when you weren’t expecting it, but never in a way that burned. No, she was the kind of light you leaned into, the kind that made you want to bask in it just a little longer. She had a way of softening the edges of things, making the world feel lighter JUST by existing in it. Diamond was a journalist, after all. So like, DUH, words were her craft, her weapon of choice, and she never used them lightly - though sometimes arguably a bit flippantly.

Was she feeling okay? Oh, so funny that you asked because she was feeling fantastic.

Because THAT had been every bit worth the wait. All the little teasing, the playful almost kisses, the so-called practice sessions of testing lip gloss flavors... it all paled in comparison. This was real. And it was good. The kind of kiss that lingered, not just on her lips but in the way her heart did a smug little flip in her chest. The accent of strawberry champagne was a nice touch too - all sweet and a little effervescent, like the moment before laughter spills out. Diamond decided then and there that it was officially her new favorite—partly because it was delicious, but mostly because it was hers theirs.

"Suppose you could get under it instead," she mused, all coy innocence as her fingers brushed a stray strand of blonde behind Theia's ear. "But first, we should probably order before we get accused of loitering and tragically kicked out before our wallets are exploited by these prices. Wouldn’t want to deprive everyone of our radiant presence and notierarity. Can you imagine the scandal? Two breathtaking young women, cast into the cold for being too distracting? Headlines would write themselves. Beeeeeeeeeesides, we’ll have plenty of time for that later."

Theia certainly had her undivided attention—well, mostly. It did waver ever so slightly as the drama at the other table unfolded, presenting new, tantalizing details for her article. Him, looking as though he were bracing for an earthquake of his own making. Her, radiating textbook Hufflepuff empathy, ever the picture of patient understanding. And then, hanging in the air like the final note of a melodramatic orchestral swell: “ask you to be my only girlfriend.” The audacity. The sheer suspiciousness of needing to clarify only girlfriend. Which, of course, could only mean there was a secret second—or perhaps even third—girlfriend lurking in the shadows. Duh. Especially after that earlier display and the dramatic storming out? Practically Shakespearean in its tangled web of messy romance.
