Had he not known that he was muddy? He seemed pretty shocked when she let him know—but there was no way he couldn't have known. I mean, it was all over his hands and face and shoes. Unless he was muddy a lot, so he didn't notice? Well, he did like plants and all, and Felicity had seen him dirtied up after some of his outdoors excursions before...so maybe when he was at home they just...let him be? Since he would get dirty so often? And he's not used to anyone telling him anything about it? What an interesting thing to do. He must have a fairly healthy immune system if that was the case, coming into contact with all the dirty nasty germs so often. To each their own...but maybe it would be good for him to keep himself clean here at school, just so other students wouldn't think badly of him. But Felicity wouldn't let that happen—if anyone complained about it, she'd tell them off and let them know that was his lifestyle choice. And that was alright! Let the lad live the life he wants to lead!
Oh, but the lad was doing that thing where he rambles on and doesn't breathe again. That was really something he should get better about, she wouldn't want to see him passing out in the middle of a conversation. And he was only getting redder, the poor thing. Maybe it was some sort of medical condition? Where you can't breathe while you're talking? Oh, that poor boy. Felicity looked at him with a great deal of sympathy in this moment, fully convinced of this fact that she'd come up with. She was going to respond, saying he probably didn't have to worry much about cleaning up the floor, but he rushed off before she could even say a thing. She looked after him as he scurried into the boys dormitories. "Ah...alright." He must be embarrassed about his condition to hurry off like that! Felicity was going to do everything in her power to make him feel comfortable from here on out. No breathing condition should make someone feel less than! |
