Oh, so she had a brother? "I have one too! A brother that is." She paused, wondering what Avalon would think if she didn't mention her. Eventually she was certain Elena and Avalon would bump into each other. They were both Gryffindors. "And a sister too," she added. "They are both in different houses too. What house is your brother in? And why do you wish you were in the same house?"

Addyson was enjoying her freedom.

"I'm not sure yet," Elena said in response to the question of what colors she was going to use. "Probably pink and purple and maybe some blue too." Pink was her favorite color, so of course she was probably going to use that. Purple went well with pink, and blue also complemented both of them so those three colors would look pretty good together. "Or maybe I should do red and gold, for Gryffindor." In honor of her first art project as a Gryffindor. That could be fun too. There were so many decisions to be made before starting a project.

"My brother is a Slytherin. I wish we were in the same house because he's my best friend, and I'm used to being with him all the time and I don't like having to be apart more now that we're in different houses." Based on the question, it didn't seem like Addyson minded not being in different houses from her siblings. "What house are your brother and sister in? Are they older than you?"
