Yumeki was born to Hotaro and Hana Kawatani in Osaka Japan in his Great-Parent’s Dojo on October 2nd 2092. At birth all Yumeki wanted to do was relax and nap. Even after his airways were cleared he had to get a nice spank to get him to start crying. He would make up for this in no time flat.

As a child Yumeki spent many hours excitedly watching his Muggle Uncle Akira play for the Baseball Team the Orix Blue Waves. He was one of the best, and the young Yumeki idolized him for his talent and power at the plate. When he got to visit him and his Aunt Rumi at her Robatayaki restaurant they were considered some of the best moments of his young life. His Young Life also saw the start of Great-Grandfather’s Bushido teachings, Kendo and Iaido training.
Yumeki took to them like a moth to the flame. Despite his lazy nature the way of the samurai was all too intriguing to him. Though winning any of the youth tournaments he was signed up for later in his youth was too much of a bother for him Yumeki showed exceptional skill in Kendo, and would later incorporate both his Kendo and Iaido teachings into his Wand Combat styles tought to him by his Great-Grandfather.

And then the magic happened. At Age 10 Yumeki’s latent magical abilities surfaced. A bit late for most his age but his parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents were all thrilled. The discussion wouldn’t even take a second, Yumeki would go to his family's alma mater. Where his great-grandmother once taught Astronomy, Himitsumaho School of Witchcraft & Wizardry.
Once he was of age, Yumeki went to Himitsumahou and was sorted into its White Kumi House. Yumeki once again became intrigued. His Great-Grandmother’s former colleague and current Headmaster, Ryunosuke Hollingberry would take him under his wand while at school and continue his training. Showing him even more styles he might be able to implement into his repertoire for wand combat once he became of age.

Then tragedy struck. During the summer after his 1st semester. His idol and Uncle Akira died in a plane crash returning from America. What was to be a celebration of his Uncle’s ascension to the Major Leagues in the United States, turned into mourning for the loss of his life off the coast of Japan.

With Akira’s death, Yumeki became detached. While making friends was always a bit difficult for the young Kendōka, he outright refused to interact with anyone outside of his own family, or Ryunosuke-Sensei’s two nieces Yuki and Mitsuki Rasting. Deciding that Yumeki would need a new environment and to get out of Japan until he could cope with the loss of his Uncle, his Parents moved to England at the end of his 2nd Term at Himitsumaho and they lived with his Grandparents in Birmingham. He was enrolled into Hogwarts over the Summer and starting his 3rd Year he was sorted into the Gryffindor House.

His 1st two years at Hogwarts weren’t anything to write home about. He would keep up his Kendo training on his own…whenever he felt the urge to wake up and do some. But he was starting to open up again to a few others in his New School, and during the Summers he would go back to Osaka and live with his Great-Grandparents and continue his Kendo training with them, and would continue some education and training at Himitsumaho under Headmaster Hollingberry. Especially so during his 5th and 7th Years while attending Hogwarts and needing to get passing grades for his OWLs and NEWTs. Yumeki naturally always seemed very tired and uninterested in his studies and training with how overworked he was, much to the annoyance of his teachers and family. Yet he was very good at retaining the information and performed well in tests for both school and his martial arts.

After Yumeki graduated from Hogwarts he moved back to Osaka Japan.His Great-Grandfather wanted him to focus solely on Kendo and Wand Combat to raise in the ranks of other practitioners in both the Kendo and Duelist communities. Yumeki instead decided to apply for Auror training in the Japanese Ministry’s DMLE. He climbed the ranks from trainee to a Junior Auror in no time and once he became a fully fledged Auror agreed to help Assist his Great-Grandfather at the Family Dojo in training his students. Yumeki also got a small studio apartment in London so that he could live closer to his Parents and Grandparents who still lived out in Birmingham. Where could then apply for a position within the British and Irish Ministry of Magic’s DMLE, and split his time assisting his Great-Grandfather in training students at the Dojo and beginning a new job in England.

In January of 2115, His Great-Grandfather fell ill. It was becoming more and more apparent that with his Great-Father’s age and health that Yumeki would have to step up and become the Dojo’s Head Teacher with no other assistant at the Dojo beside himself and the only person his Great-Grandfather would even consider to inherit the Dojo. Yumeki also began to prepare to step into the role of the Dojo’s Sensei as well as splitting his time as an Auror for the British and Irish Ministry of Magic’s DMLE. Yumeki seemed especially more exhausted than before.
