It didn't take long for hovering before the first students kicked off into the air, Amelia noting how they reacted to the difference in weather. It was a testament to how prepared they might be during an actual snowstorm in a game rather than one magicked. There were a couple younger students - namely Calliope and Max - that caught her eye in how they performed today. Young though they might have been, it was easy to tell this wasn't their first time on a broom. She'd verify their experiences later, but in observational she was willing to bet that they had played in youth broomstick games. What was Max asking about a bonnet? She spared a glance around the different players to see what he was talking about but Jansher provided an answer first. It was for weather reasons not quidditch, so no rule indeed.

Teagan was another one that she was sure she noticed increased confidence from last year. She smiled at Achilles, shaking her head. "There will be plenty of time for taking out the opponent after prospects make their respective team." It was just a tryout after all, she wanted to see how they all played without too much injuries. Nadia willing to step in as keeper was always helpful - the girl, no young woman now - was a solid player and seeing how she adapted into various positions was warming to her soul.

Felicity was a newcomer to Hogwarts Quidditch, but she was familiar with the Hufflepuff from the summer league having witnessed her on the opposing team. She was a solid beater from what she could tell, as was Beauden.

Then there were two more seeker hopefuls, other than Max, Emma and Bryony. She watched them circling the pitch and adjusting to the swirly white stuff. Seeker was a hard position to judge talent for as sometimes it was mere luck. Whereas the other three positions required much more raw talent and skills. Not that seeker was unskilled but it was just .... different. Her self-moving quill jotted down a few notes including of course Calliope's obvious enthusiasm and sense of teamwork as the girl hollered for Max to get the snitch. Perhaps she was the one who should be trying out for seeker, not Max?

ooc: just throwing in some reactions, still plenty of time to hop into quidditch tryouts for this term!
