That was alright, it wasn't often that anyone assumed her to be a cook in anyway if they didn't already know her. "I don't get very many complaints from them all too often," Mara laughed softly. Generally it only happened if she fixed a meal one of the children didn't particularly enjoy. "Oh, well that's too bad. Those sounded quite lovely." Bummer. Though she wasn't going to say no to this man offering his help to find something else. "That would be nice, thank you." Cue a warm smile from her. "Well it can be at times but recently.. not so much." With her son off at Hogwarts and her daughter at primary, she was on her own a fair bit, even if she was working it still counted. "Lavender you say? That has a nice pleasant scent to it." Yes, a lavender plant may be just what she needed.
If he weren’t comfortable and content with his job as a Herbologist with the Watson family, he probably would have been working in a lovely shop such as this one. He would have surely been able to meet much more charming ladies such as this one; the chances of meeting one while diving in the oceans and lakes for magical plants were almost zero.
Such a ridiculously sad reality.
If she didn’t get many complaints, then that meant that she was an excellent cook. Dex told her as much before adding, “You’re most welcome.” In fact, she didn’t even need to thank him. “How come it’s not so chaotic now?” he asked not sure if he was just making conversation to keep her around. Because he had already advised her on lavender, which meant the woman could go ahead to purchase the plant and leave. “I’m Dexter, by the way. Dexter Fernandes.” |
