Maybe all he really needed was that good ole' shove in the right direction from someone that was always looking out for him when that time came.
Indeed. An eye injury was not all anything Zi wanted to experience. It really would've put a large damper on the day and perhaps longer depending on how bad it was. Thankfully it was on his cheek. "The win is yours but next time I'll really wipe the court with you." He had to make up for how how badly this game had just gone! "But does it have to be THIS cold?" Yep, he can still be a pain in the behind after getting hurt. "Yeah, okay.. good idea. Lead the way." He would be following right behind Hunter. Maybe getting off his feet and sitting down was a good idea.
Zion was rather brainy in his own way. This was something Hunter was adamant about. Yes, he did know the other boy struggled with certain aspects of their academics but H was always there to help. In any case, whatever Zi might think he lacked there, it was certainly made up for in that artistic talent.
Ooh, there it was again! Zion’s smartmouth! Hunter obviously could not help but laugh. “We’ll see about that. You best be prepared to play your best games yet.” As for being a pain in the behind? Maybe to others, yes, but Hunture was a vessel of patience when it came to Zion. “Yes, it is. How else are we going to keep the swelling away?” Shaking his head at Zi’s silliness, he led the way to the benches. “If you think that you ought to see the Healer, let me know.” |
