There was something about this being the summer after OWL exams that made this time off even more rewarding. It probably had something to do with the fact that he'd felt consistently ill due to the stress of those weeks of exams. Even though he had studied moderately through the term, something about the actual experience of them made him feel downright awful the entire time.

But, now that they were behind him, he felt as free as a bird. Like a seagull. Or...preferably something cooler than a seagull.

The actual results were still to be discovered, sure, but who cared about that? Nothing HE could do about it now. Whatever they would be, they would be.

And so Ezra was determined to enjoy the summer holidays as much as possible, which meant hanging out with his friends as much as possible. Today, that was Anna.

Having confirmed meeting up at Florean's to start with, he arrived just a smidge early and plopping himself into an empty seat to wait. Grabbing some ice cream while he waited was tempting, but he decided it'd be better to wait for her so they could eat together.
