Potions

Potions was definitely not Elise’s thing. Not only was she having difficulty measuring out the ingredients for that day’s assignment, but she could not remember in which order she was supposed to put said ingredients in the cauldron. Looking around, she noted with some embarrassment that she appeared to be the only one having trouble. She noticed the professor looking at her just then and quickly looked down, pretending she knew what she was doing as she carefully measured out some beetle eyes.

Please don’t come over here! she thought. Just stay there and let me be ashamed in peace.
