They hadn't had a chance to talk about it, and to be honest Vera probably wouldn't try unless Sia did first, but she could take a guess on what was perturbing her friend. So when Bestie slid into the spot next to her, brunette head automatically settled on top of the blond one as she linked their arms - giving Sia's a small comforting squeeze. She was certain her Captain knew that first mate was around if she needed a chat, but she'd remind her later too when they were settled for their last night in their dorm together for the term.

Seeing one of the graduating class joining them at the table, Ve turned her grin towards the girl and gave a wave with her currently free arm. "Hiii Maxine. Congratulations!" Based on the smile the older girl was wearing, Vera was guessing she was happy about the development of graduation - at least a little. So an energetic, happy response seemed appropriate. Just.... Hopefully she wasn't wrong. Although then again, if she was, the girl couldn't really be upset with her past this meal right??

A small head tilt on top of her friend's gave Vera the view of her favorite male lion sliding into the spot next to her, and she grinned widely at him as she slipped her free hand into his outstretched. Normally she would have kissed his cheek or some either slight PDA in greeting, but she'd spare everyone around them this time. "Judging by the body language of the Professor's, I'd wager he's currently giving them a customary Winterbottom joke and then he'll be ready. So... Count me in on a galleon, but I'm going with 5 minutes." Would Feirgrund be upset with them for this? She was hoping he was far enough away he'd never know. Besides... It was end of term, how could they be punished?

Attention turned back to Kion once more, her grin massive at the reminder of how well they'd been doing in the last few years. Her competitive nature was crushed at how abysmal Gryffindor's standing was in the house cup, but Gobstones more than made up for it. "Naturally! With us on the team, how could we do anything but?" She replied, her tone entirely taking on a bragging note. As for outside of Gobstones? "Family things mainly." There was a lot to catch up on in that regard at home, though she wouldn't bore everyone with the details. She was looking forward to seeing Papa and Raju though, and getting a chance to get to know Viano. "But plenty of friend time too! It'd be really fun to meet up with you and Maria at some point too!" She and Maria usually tried to find at least one moment of an excuse to go shopping or something. Ve had no plans of this year being any different.
