And to properly introduce myself since I didn't get the chance to at the orientation, the name's Selene Latimer; one of the investigator's for the IUMO here." She'd also further extend a hand for the lady to shake should she want.
Yes, indeedy! The Paton family was a big one with four kiddos and two parental units. And Nova happened to be the oldest Paton baby, the one who was quite determined to follow in her papa bear’s footsteps. So far, it seemed she was right on track.

Oh my, that seasoned DLMer knew how to make a newbie feel flattered and welcomed! “I try as well. Yes, I am. The name’s Nova in case you forgot.” That latter comment was not meant to be taken in a hostile manner; it was known that not everyone could recall everyone’s name from just one orientation meeting. “That’s okay! I’m thrilled to meet you, Ms. Latimer! Actually, I would love to hear about your job. Do you reckon you’ve got some time for me to pick your brain?” |
