Nah, at least I don't remember him releasing any lamps or there being a big memorial for him like that. Buuuut I could be wrong it was just basically a situation like this, Gregoire and a few others went into the Forest just cause, acromantulas showed, and Greggy forgot he was in Slytherin not Gryffindor trying to play the hero and basically 1v1 the acromantula(s?)

I do remember he was the reason why the age line/barrier was placed around the Forest for that short time after though
