| ❄ Chasing Waterfalls & Wonder ❄ | Mama Badger | Eva's Soul Sister | An OG™ | It's all in the Numbers Oh. Ary had mentioned the Wizengamot which was actually what Emma had been going to say and she probably should have since the Magical debate extracurricular was completely off base. But it didn't matter anyway since it seemed Maria had mentioned the topic of today - the international statute of wizarding secrecy. Wasn't that the one who governed the use of magic by those under 17? Before she had a chance to say anything, Professor Fergersnout's voice spoke up and was moving on to talking about some conference of 1995. Bleh... boring. That was like over 100 years ago!!!
No offense, but like who cared about something that was so long ago? But it seemed like they were going to be holding their own conference and discussing issues current in the community. Get rid of the house points? She arched a brow at Anna thinking maybe this needed some more explanations. Just to say about getting rid of something because it was archaic seemed rather vague. It wasn't that she was pro-house points, but she definitely was intrigued to hear more details. Drake, Ary, Bry seemed to be talking about a school exchange system. There were others who just submitted a topic quietly, and all sorts of side-whispers occurring.
As far as what topic she wanted to submit? She wasn't sure. Chewing her lower lip, she stared down at her parchment thoughtfully. Maybe something about animagi? But what exactly? "Why are hogwarts pets limited to the same four pets it's been for centuries? There's many other pets out there that are just as docile and low-maintenance. Like ... bowtruckles. Why can't we have one as a pet at Hogwarts?" Was that a debate worth of an issue? It seemed rather centralized to Hogwarts only and the ICW dealt with more issues than just the school. "Also ...... exams aren't really a good measure of our magical knowledge. Some people just are terrible test takers, so I think taking into consideration one's performance throughout the year is better than an exam at the end that we'll forget all about the second we leave the exam room." Deciding to just write these prompts on a paper and submit them to the goblet of fire replica .... Quote:
* Abolish school exams
* don't limit hogwarts pets to just rats, toads, kneazles, owls
