She headed over to the Slytherin section first, knowing most of her family members would be there if they'd won something. She smirked in pride when she came across her Aunt Sierra amongst the list of prefects. Oh, and there was Aunt Anna and Uncle Cale, too! Of course, the last two were Gryffindors, but they'd still been amazing in their own way.
Ugh. Hufflepuff had won more Quidditch Cups than any other house. How did that happen?! She had a feeling she could get lost in here for a while, reading all the names and who had accomplished what. Brandon Fox wasn't sure exactly why he was here. He had been wandering again... He had never understood why his sister liked to wander so much until he got trapped in a mirror last year. Now, he found himself wandering too, during the long periods where he lost himself in his mind. He was thinking, and then he was thinking about life, and then he had ended up here after a while. 20 minutes, maybe.
He found himself drawn to the Ravenclaw section to look for a mention of Ashley Fox, but didn't see her name on anything. He wasn't surprised, as she never seemed like the type to be invested in winning awards or trophies. Brandon had no other magical family members, or at least none that he knew of. His father had never mentioned any family at all, and Brandon had never asked. IF he had magical ancestors, they didn't share a last name.
He wandered to the Hufflepuff section. His house. He was proud to be a Hufflepuff, and it made him smile to see the accomplishments of his house. While his name wasn't on any of the plaques, he had contributed to winning at least one house cup so far. He liked that.
The tallish, blond, and excessively neat-looking boy came to a stop at the quidditch section, admiring the many victories of Hufflepuff despite his dislike of flying. He nodded politely at a nearby younger year, who appeared to be a Slytherin and most likely a new student. "All of our houses are so impressive, aren't they?" While his expression was a bit intense and he wasn't smiling, Brandon was a friendly kid and didn't mind having conversations with younger years. |
