There was something about being called ‘sir’ that rubbed Fynley up the wrong way. He was seventeen, not seventy and certainly not worthy of such an old fashioned sounding title. He might’ve been a bit short with the poor kid but that was only because he’d been rudely awakened from a slumber that he desperately needed after a terrible night's sleep. He didn’t make a habit of intimidating the younger years usually not that he ever actively chose to socialise with them either.

Upon seeing the sheepish expression on the kids face, the seventh year heaved a sigh and rubbed at his forehead. “It’s fine just.. keep the volume down will you?” It might have been all bright and exciting for the first years but for the seventh years it was normality.
