Jane was running uncharacteristically late, but she had wanted to make sure she had all the notes and equipment they might need. Damian had been pretty set on destroying whatever their mutual experiments might have created, but Jane was equally set on trying to save at least the germ of the result of her work in the Fermentation phase.
