Bathes in Maple Syrup | Dancing Lobster | Moy Pomidor | Seneca's Beard | That Is So Fetch! Gilly had mixed feelings about the term coming to an end so soon. It felt like her first year had gone by in the blink of an eye, and she couldn't believe that it was nearly time to leave the castle behind for the summer. On the flip side, she was also ready to go home to see Mum, spend the summer with Drake going to their old stomping grounds, and bury her nose in books that more closely aligned to her interests.
One such book the curly-haired girl had brought down to the hall with her. While she was sure she'd be getting looks for wanting to read on the last night, she figured it would take a while for the speech to happen. Plus it was likely the conversations that would occur would be something she did not care to engage in. Knowledge was power, and a feast wasn't going to stop her from filling up her brain before she filled up her stomach.
It wasn't much of a surprise to see that she was one of the first to arrive at the table. The décor of the hall was not a surprise either, though she personally didn't care about house points or winning the cup. But, she had to admit, it was nice that Slytherin came out on top in her first year at Hogwarts.
"Hi, Aryan," she greeted the boy quietly, taking a spot beside him as she gently placed her book on the table.
