There would have even been comments about Hoggle and the peach and the betrayal that was inevitably going to happen.
The group was making their way through the forest now and they were suddenly hungry, which was something he could relate to normally. But the thoughts on his mind had taken precedence. Now, as Sarah had bit into the peach and Hoggle had run off, he was rapidly trying to string together words that would make sense.
Not that there was much time to do such a thing, especially since he had Vera's attention and her head had moved ever so slightly his way. Had he been looking at the screen, he would have registered Sarah wandering a few feet toward a tree, the Goblin King blowing a few crystal ball bubble things into the air, and the scene gradually transitioning to some random fancy ballroom. Instead, his eyes were on his movie-viewing companion.
"Have you -- Do you --" Gathering his words continued to be a struggle for him as light music started to play and lyrics from a male voice were sung. "I --" It was at that moment the words 'It's much easier to not overthink when it comes to me' repeated in his mind. Taking a breath, he leaned his face closer and pressed his lips against hers.
As he seemed to struggle with whatever it was he wanted to say, she became more and more curious, the noise in the background from the movie hardly even registered to her. It was perhaps a good thing anyways she missed the montage on the screen, as it went from Forest, to ballroom, to junkyard to... maybe Sarah's room? And then back to junkyard again. The strange sequencing would have just confused her entirely. Besides, he was a much more welcome distraction than the film.
Especially as he never actually finished his sentence, and while she was still staring and waiting to hear what he wanted to know, she was instead suddenly distracted when his lips were against hers. She had noticed him moving forward, but she hadn't registered what was happening until it did. Not that she was complaining, actually the opposite as she couldn't help the slight smile against his lips before she returned the kiss, briefly, before pulling back so she could fully grin at him.
"I'm glad I wasn't the only one who wanted to do that." She commented softly. The group on screen was now at a large door, which the brunette didn't even look over to register.
